Ground EFX MX200E Digital GPS Metal Detector Review
Choosing a metal detector that can work efficiently on both dry sand and wet areas was an uphill task for me. I moved from one metal detector to another in a span of 12 months and did not like the experience. Asa newbie, my aim was to find a sensor that can save my time, is accurate and lightweight. However, my extensive research seemed to give glimpses of hope as I found the Ground EFX MX200E Digital GPS Metal Detector.
Its features and the ease of usage enticed me to buy another one for my 12-year-old daughter who has been nagging me about getting a detector. Over the last Christmas holiday, both of us went hunting for treasure in our yard. After a short hunting exercise, we could not hide our joy anymore. We found valuable metal pieces, iron nails, a gold ring and many coins and quarters. I had to prepare this Review for anyone interested in getting this detector and having fun with it.

Durable fiberglass and polycarbonate construction
The detector is made from poly-carbonate that is excellently mixed with fiberglass. The design makes the machine easy to use because the materials used in making it are lightweight. Additionally, the MD has a supportive adjustable arm that has a strap. That is a big plus! The design doesn’t end there. Many people have complained about the unfriendliness of the other metals detectors when it comes to the dexterities they offer.
The EMX 200E has provisions for that. It has a 10’’ search coil that is made to last and has considerations for both dexterities. It will not matter whether you are right or left handed-an incentive for easy usage.
It has fabulous discrimination that can help you to leave out unwanted targets as you go on detecting for treasure. Who wants to shovel out can tops instead of coins? This Ground EFX MX200E Digital GPS Metal Detector dispels your fears of encountering such discouraging challenges. You need to decide what metals you want to find, adjust your discrimination effectively, and you will be up for the task.
In order to make the discrimination of this metal detector exquisite, eight different metal categories are detectable on the MD. You can therefore easily use the elimination modes described below to make your search as accurate as you desire.
Four elimination modes/4 HD tones
Four different elimination modes are supported by the EMX 200 E MD. That includes the all-metal mode, the jewelry, coin and custom modes. To ensure that the targets are identified accordingly, 4 HD modes sound to represent detection of specific targets. The detector’s functionality is excellent.
As such, you will not receive any false signals when using this MD. It doesn’t matter whether you went close to areas that are typically confusing other detectors or you are operating along or near power lines.
Digital back lit interface
The detector has an inbuilt LED light. That display is equipped with an efficient GEO-X GPS technology. Using the technology makes your searching experience a memorable one. Imagine you being capable of storing more than 10 locations of your finds in a single treasure hunting exercise! The LCD interface is also good. You can’t wait to use it anytime of the day.
If you accidentally drop your wedding ring at 8 pm, and you can’t locate it quickly, you should never keep biting your nails. The display is excellent even at night, during cloudy days and in the broad daylight.
Supportive signal strength and depth indicators
The panel of the MD has indicators for the strength of the signals. That makes the sensitivity of the Detector as efficient as expected. The depth indicators also help you to get an approximate depth to which you are supposed to dig so as to shovel out the kind of treasure that you like.
With a higher sensitivity, the stronger the strength of the signal of detection and the deeper it is expected that the concentric search coil will detect.
